Noova Energy Systems

AUTHOR: Animwood CATEGORY: Motion graphics

Energy companies, IT businesses, and SaaS providers often need to explain complex products in a way that makes sense to business customers. For Noova Energy Systems, Animwood developed a series of motion graphics and animated marketing videos to communicate an energy optimization platform through clear, minimalistic visuals.

The production included a 60-second event video, a 90-second product explainer video, and a series of short social media ads in multiple aspect ratios. Together, these deliverables formed a package of more than 30 assets for Noova’s video marketing strategy, providing useful animated content.

The videos combined abstract animation, animated typography, and a consistent visual identity to make the technology easier to understand across events, product marketing, and social media.

This project demonstrates how motion design can help energy solution providers, technology companies, and B2B brands explain digital products and communicate their value to building owners, real estate operators, office managers, and other business audiences.

Big Idea

The creative direction focused on minimalistic animation, abstract visual elements, and precise typography to communicate the platform’s functionality without unnecessary complexity.

Animwood led the motion design process from scripting and storyboarding to visual development and animation. A symbolic beam of energy moved through the graphics, connecting product features and guiding viewers through the story.

Without voice-over narration, the video relied on animated typography, infographic-style visuals, and carefully timed movement, allowing the audience to read the on-screen text. This approach kept the focus on the product while making the information accessible to a broad B2B audience.

Linear compositions, restrained graphic elements, and Noova’s brand colors created a visual identity in motion connected to energy efficiency, sustainability, and technological precision. Photography and live-action footage added context and a tangible connection to the energy industry.

The result was a flexible design system that combined abstract animation with practical product communication.

Similar approaches can help energy technology providers, IT startups, and SaaS companies explain complex solutions through visual storytelling.

Seamless Transitions and Animation Flow

The energy beam served as the central visual element, connecting individual scenes into one continuous narrative. Its movement shaped the transitions, directed attention, and established a consistent rhythm throughout the videos.

During storyboarding, we mapped how graphic elements would enter, transform, and connect between scenes. Precise timing and smooth transitions helped move the story naturally from one product feature to another.

This approach made the abstract concept easy to follow while preserving the clean, minimalistic aesthetic. Rather than treating each scene as a separate graphic, the animation used movement to establish relationships between information, product functionality, and the broader story.

The same visual logic carried across the event video, product explainer, and social media ads, allowing different formats to feel like parts of one coherent motion design system.

For technology businesses looking to communicate complex products, our article on IT explainer videos and making complex technology easier to understand explores how animation can turn abstract systems and technical processes into accessible visual stories.

Making of

Produced and co-designed in Adobe After Effects, the videos combined motion graphics, kinetic typography, abstract animation, photography, and live-action footage. Movement, composition, and sound carried the narrative without voice-over.

Music and sound effects played an important role in defining the pace and atmosphere. Their timing complemented the animated elements, adding depth to the minimalist visuals and reinforcing the technology-focused aesthetic.

Subtle cyberpunk influences introduced a contemporary digital feel, while the restrained graphic language kept the product and its functionality at the center of the story.

The finished package included more than 30 assets designed for events, product marketing, and social media. It demonstrates how a consistent approach to motion graphics, design in motion, and animated marketing video production can help energy and technology companies communicate complex solutions through distinctive visual storytelling.
