Creativity is evolving faster than ever, and we’re excited to evolve with it. In this project, we explored AI-driven creation to push visual storytelling beyond traditional boundaries. By combining AI with the tactile charm of cel animation, we created a piece that connect innovation, craftsmanship, and imagination.
Product
We generated our product, exploring different variations, lighting, and camera angles to define its final look. This gave us a strong visual foundation and set the creative direction
Characters
AI tools were used to create and refine our characters, experimenting with a wide range of facial expressions, poses, lighting styles, and camera angles to shape the right personality for each one. We explored different emotional tones and perspectives to make every character feel unique, believable, and visually engaging.
Mood
Next, we established the overall placement and mood of the scene, carefully shaping the lighting, framing, and spatial layout to create a strong atmosphere. Different lighting setups, color tones, and environmental details were explored to enhance the emotional impact and support the story being told. This stage helped define how the scene would feel on screen.
Animation
To enhance the visual impact of the project, we used cel animation in Adobe Animate for FX, bringing additional energy, dynamism, and fluid motion. Character animation was crafted in MOHO, allowing for expressive, performance with a handcrafted feel. Everything was then assembled in After Effects, where we refined the final look through lighting, compositing, and animated typography, giving the piece a polished and cohesive cinematic finish.
Bloopers
AI generation usually follows your prompt... and then adds a few surprise plot twists of its own. It can drift from the original idea, change faces or sneak in unexpected details. Great for creativity, slightly less great for accuracy
