We chose a cartoon, minimalist style with fun, cute textures and simplified characters. The characters lead viewers through the story and add a human side to cybersecurity and good security habits.

Simple characters are harder to animate than they look, because there is little room for detail. We still animated a wide range of emotions and facial expressions while keeping the minimal look. The result is characters that feel expressive and approachable.

We wanted the interfaces to be as fun as possible. We combined frame-by-frame animation with motion design in After Effects to create witty windows in an 80s style. This gave the interfaces and transitions a distinct, cute and engaging feel.

Smooth transitions and morphing shapes connect every scene. The whole video flows without a single cut, so the story is easy to follow.
